RULES OF CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE

  • Enrollment in Loreto Dharamtala implies that the pupils and their parents are willing to comply with the requirements and regulations of the school.
  • Pupils are expected to behave in a lady like manner at all times. They should address all members of the staff and their companions with due respect and politeness. Refinement of manners, uprightness and self-restraint should distinguish every pupil of the school.
  • Visiting clubs, restaurants, markets and theatres in school uniform is strictly forbidden.
  • Girls wearing school uniform are not to speak to boys on the street. Parents are asked not to send young boys to school to collect their daughters.
  • No mobile phones, deodorants, pen-knives, magazines or gifts are to be brought to school. If found they will be confiscated.
  • There should be no collection of money without the permission of the Principal.
  • Children may distribute only sweets on birthdays.
  • Private tuition for children from any staff member is strictly forbidden.
  • Every pupil is expected to take part in all school activities including social work even if they take place out of the usual school hours.
  • Any damage to school property must be remedied at the cost of the offender.
  • Parents wishing to meet a teacher during school hours may do so after making an appointment with the Principal’s permission.
  • Any change of telephone numbers or address must be reported to the office.
  • This diary is for official use only and must be reserved for notice, homework and instruction. It must be brought to school each day and produced for inspection whenever required. Parents are particularly requested to sign Reports and Circulars and to attend Parent/Teacher Meeting when so requested.
  • Parents are informed that occasional remarks from the teachers are conveniently sent through these pages and they are encouraged to do likewise. Parents are requested therefore to check their daughter’s diary every day.
  • Parents are earnestly requested to see that their children attend school punctually. They are asked to cooperate with the work of the school by enforcing regularity and discipline.
  • Parents are to give their children a snack if they have to stay back after school. Buying eatables from the street vendors is forbidden. No delivery of articles from home will be given to the student once she is in the classroom.
  • The School's general office hours are from 9.00 a.m to 11.00 a.m. The Principal is available from 9.00 a.m to 9.45 a.m. (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) Otherwise by appointment only.
