Description:
On the 9th of May our school celebrated the Birth Anniversary of the writer of our national anthem, RabindranathTagore. The theme for Rabindra Jayanti 2023 was 'CHIROKALER RABI', which means 'Forever RabindranathTagore'. The senior school celebrated this day with songs, enactments, poems and dances. For the first performance, class 10's sang the prayer song Sakatore Oi Kadiche Shkole and danced to it. This was followed by the garlanding of the image of Rabindranath Tagore by our principal, Sister Mercia. Then the class 9's sang the song Phul Phule Dhole Dhole followed by an enactment and recitation of the poem Maajhi. After this a dance was performed on the song Sawana Gagane Ghor Ghanaghata written by Rabindranath Tagore.The last performance was a song sung by our Mrs. Ganguly and Mrs. Mahajan. The program ended with the National Anthem.
